Autumn journaling prompts for growth and creativity
I hope this new blog post finds you well and you’re having a gorgeous month. I don’t know about you, but I love this time of year. I’m currently in my office sipping my favourite tea while the rain falls outside my window – my idea of heaven. I’ve already hung some fairy lights and got out my sumptuous Swedish blanket, so I’m all set for autumn!
September, for me, has the freshness of a new year but without the external pressure. It’s a gentle time to ease back into a comforting routine following the spontaneous summer months. I’m looking forward to crisp mornings and cosy walks followed by tea and cake at my favourite coffee shops. I love to slow down with a cup of tea and a book while watching the world go by.
15 autumn journaling prompts
I’ve recently been journaling at the end of each day. I find it helpful to get things off my mind before I go to sleep. I also take a moment to focus on what I’m grateful for and jot down my intentions for the following day.
As we approach autumn, I’m thinking about what I would like from the new season. To help me, I created some autumn journaling prompts, which I’ve shared below should you wish to use them. We all experience life differently, so please feel free to use any prompts that resonate with you and leave the rest.
1. What do you enjoy doing?
2. What are you grateful for?
3. What lifts your spirits?
4. What inspires you?
5. What do you like most about your life?
6. What gives your life meaning?
7. What do you want more of?
8. What do you want less of?
9. What are you being drawn to?
10. Do you have a secret dream or wish?
11. What would you like autumn to look and feel like?
12. How would you like to be spending your days?
13. Do you have an ambition or goal for the new season?
14. What will reaching your ambition or goal mean to you?
15. What’s one big or small step you’d like to take right now?
Calm and cosy silent vlogs
While I have you here, I’d like to say thank you to those who have watched my videos and subscribed to my new YouTube channel. I appreciate every one of you. I’d like to post a new video each month – maybe more as my video editing speed improves! I’m looking forward to capturing the autumn colours of Oxfordshire and many of the things I love about the season.
Wishing you a gentle and joyful autumn. May the coming season bring you an abundance of beautiful leaves, cosy coffee shops and all the things you love.
