Clutter-Free Christmas Gift Ideas
1st December 2017
A simple Christmas
I prefer a simple, uncluttered life and home and I choose to live as sustainably as I can. For this reason, I champion the idea of clutter-free gifts for Christmas or any occasion. So, if you’re looking for some thoughtful clutter-free Christmas gift ideas I’ve created a list of suggestions just for you.

The precious gift of your time
This Christmas why not save the time you spend in shops or online and give the gift of your time. I’m sure it’s the most precious gift you can give. To do this, you could create a simple ‘I owe you note’ with a suggestion of dinner or something your partner/relative/friend might enjoy. See it as a joyful occasion for you both to look forward to.
After many years of gift-giving, my sister and I now book a date to do something special together. Last year we enjoyed a spa day, and this year we’re going for afternoon tea at The Ivy in Marlow. It’s lovely to build a collection of happy festive memories to cherish.
If you have any clutter-free Christmas gift ideas please feel free to leave them in the comments.

These are such excellent ideas. I love giving the gift of “experiences” lately, especially pampering gifts! This year, I’m making Christmas hampers with local produce for my in-laws, which I hope will go down well!

I love all these ideas, the last thing I want is lots more stuff to clutter up my already cluttered home. I am going to suggest this to all my friends and family this year (if it’s not too late) as I’d much rather make memories with them than receive a physical gift.
Thanks, Stacey. I’m pleased you found the post helpful – I hope you have a great weekend!
Such lovely ideas here, it’s so important to give your time to people, it’s one of the most precious things we have I think. x
Thank you, Jen. I hope you have a gorgeous weekend! :)
Some beautiful ideas, my boyfriend and I don’t really need anything and we’re going on holiday in January so putting money towards that, so an ‘I owe you’ idea would be perfect, even if it was just I’ll cook you dinner xx
Thank you, Cate. I hope you have a wonderful holiday, it’s so nice to have something to look forward to in January, isn’t it? Have a lovely weekend! :)
I have never seen a list like this, and I love it! Spending money on experience instead of things–you’ve got the right idea, lady!
I’m definitely going to rethink some presents this year.

Absolutely perfect. To me, this is the essence of gift giving. Nothing is more valuable than your time and it shows just how much you care about someone to want to spend that valuable time with them. The memories are so much better too! :-)
