Six uplifting reminders to motivate and inspire
Words are powerful, they can inspire, motivate and keep us on track, especially when we have goals we’re trying to reach. For example, I like the phrase, ‘one day at a time’ because it stops me feeling overwhelmed and encourages me to focus on the present moment. I also like ‘more books, less scrolling’ for obvious reasons!
I love inspiring words, phrases, quotes, mantras and affirmations. So, today I’m sharing six positive and uplifting reminders I’ve created to support my life and work. They help me to remain focused, trust my instincts and value where I am in my life right now.
‘You can start your day at any time.’
~ We can reset, refocus and restart as many times as we need to, riding the ebbs and flows of the day.
‘Slow down and listen to your heart.’
~ It’s easy to get swept away by the paths, dreams and goals of others, by taking a moment to slow down we’re better able to hear what’s truly in our hearts.
‘Your differences are your strengths.’
~ Be brave enough to walk your own path and live the life you want to live.
‘Pause to enjoy how far you’ve come.’
~ Stop to enjoy the view and celebrate how far you’ve come, it will prepare you for the next stage on your journey.
‘Be grateful for everything you have.’
~ An attitude of gratitude makes life feel better, it can generate feelings of happiness, contentment and joy.
‘Everything in life comes and goes.’
~ Everything in life is growing and evolving, and this moment will never be the same again.

I really need to take on board the more books and less scrolling vibe! Im spending too much time checking in for no reason
Xxxx
It’s so easy to do, I always find I reach for my iPad out of habit. Maybe I should stick the mantra to it?! ;)
I think the one that makes me feel better is ‘your differences are your strengths’ love that will print it out and put it up in my new office xxx
Thank you, Ashley. Have a gorgeous day!
I do love a mantra, especially one I’m saying more often in my head than I’d expected. Even the ‘spark joy’ from the Marie Kondo is something I’ve found really helpful lately.
Have a fabulous weekend,
Victoria x
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend!
This is such a lovely post I’m always repeating positive rules in my head to drive msyelf forward, but I very rarely do it to take time out. On my list this year is to read more, and be less on-line (so hard when you’re a blogger) but when I do I feel 1000 times better.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Maxine. I try to take as much time offline as possible – otherwise, it feels like I never have any time off! I hope you have a gorgeous weekend.
You are my mantra queen!! Seriously you need to do a book or something
Haha – thanks, Sue!

Thanks, Katie. Have a lovely day!
I love mantras like this, when I did illustration I used to love to illustrate positive quotes. I do really believe they can change your outset on things, doing hypnobirth especially and the affirmations really helped me feel calm and positive xx
That’s so interesting, Fritha. I’d love to see your illustration work!
I love the “everything in life comes and goes”! I say this to myself on darker days to remind myself that brighter times are to come and I also say this to myself on good days to remind myself to be grateful for these moments because they’re not permanent.
xo, Sofia
So true! Thanks for stopping by.
I love all these mantras. It’s so important to have something like this to remind you what’s important. I often like to print them out as artwork and hang them around my house so I’m constantly reminded. The less scrolling one is definitely one that resonates with me. I do find it so hard to disconnect from the net but I feel so better when I do!
Thanks, Stacey. Switching off from the online world can be a constant battle!
I’m with you on the power of positive thinking. And you’re such a positive person in real life too, so it obviously works! x
Thanks, Lottie. That’s kind of you!
I’ve bookmarked this – as someone else has said, it’s so easy to get caught up in it all. This was a nice reminder to stop and appreciate the world. x
Thanks Alice. I hope you’re having a great week!
Very interesting article, thank you for sharing and for the inspiration! Most of these mantras have a really good point and we are sure that many people (including us), need to work on a bit on implementing these more into our lives.
Thank you for stopping by!
I really love these mantras! I particularly like ‘Your differences are your strengths’. I spend a lot of time worrying that I’m not likeable, or mainstream enough, so the is definitely one for me to remember! x
Thank you so much. I’m pleased you enjoyed the post!
